The Government has ambitious plan to extend the service to several parts of the city as there are lots of people who need to commute to various parts of the city. Being a large city, it is a need of the people of Delhi to have good transport system. The new Phase III is a 105 km network and most of the plans are now ready. The plans are to cover Yamuna Vihar-Mukundpur corridor, which will be the longest line in the Delhi Metro network that will cover around 55.9 kms.
